Selling items on eBay is a great way to make extra money - and have fun doing it!

To list an item, click the Sell button at the top of any eBay page. eBay's Sell Your Item form takes you through the process of listing your item step-by-step, including helping you find appropriate categories for your item.

Before you can sell items on eBay you must:

• Be a registered member and
• Become a seller.

To prepare for listing your item you can:

• Look for similar items that sold on eBay. Reviewing the search results will give you an idea of your item’s potential value and the best category for your listing.

Tips:

• To look for similar items that sold on eBay, click the “Advanced Search” link at the top of most eBay pages. Enter keywords that describe your item, and select the "Completed listings only" box.
• To list an item for sale on eBay, you can also view an item like the one you want to sell and click the “Sell one like this” link. This takes you to the Sell Your Item form with some information pre-populated.
• Make sure to review your item’s information for accuracy. Do not copy the title, description, or photos from another seller’s item.
